Mould inspection and remediation in a Toronto home

Mould Inspection and Remediation

Mould in a home or workplace is a real health risk. Our certified crews remove it properly and safely.

Mould removal in Toronto and the GTA

Mould in a home or workplace is more than a smell. The spores release allergens and toxins into the air that can trigger asthma, irritation, and other health issues for your family, your tenants, or your staff.

Whether you have a small patch behind a vanity or a contaminated basement after a flood, our certified crews remove it properly. We contain the area, take out affected material, treat the surfaces.

This is not a job to take on yourself. Disturbed mould spreads fast, and DIY removal often makes the contamination worse. Call our IICRC certified mould remediation team for inspection or removal in Toronto, Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Richmond Hill, Oakville, and across the rest of the Greater Toronto Area.

Don't tackle mould yourself

Scrubbing mould or pulling out drywall without containment sends spores all over the house. Bring in a certified crew so the contamination doesn't spread.

Mould often follows water damage. If you've had a flood recently, see our water damage restoration service. To find hidden moisture before it spreads, look at thermal imaging and air quality testing.

Common questions about mould remediation

How do I know if I have a mould problem?
Common signs include a musty or earthy smell, visible dark spots on walls, ceilings, or behind furniture, persistent allergy-like symptoms, and a history of water damage or flooding. If you see staining after a flood, get an inspection before assuming it is just a stain.
Is mould in my home dangerous?
It depends on the type and concentration. Mould releases spores and some species release mycotoxins that can trigger asthma, allergic reactions, respiratory issues, and other health effects โ€” especially in children, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems. Any mould in a living space warrants assessment.
Can I remove mould myself?
Small surface patches of less than 10 square feet on a non-porous surface can sometimes be cleaned. Anything larger, anything inside walls or under flooring, or anything that keeps coming back should not be handled without containment and protective equipment. Disturbing mould without containment spreads spores throughout the house and often makes the problem significantly worse.
What does mould remediation involve?
Our process includes containment of the affected area with negative air pressure to prevent cross-contamination, removal of contaminated materials, HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial treatment with eco-friendly products, and post-remediation clearance air testing to confirm the area is safe.
