Water Damage and Drain Backup Restoration

Burst pipe, sewer backup, basement flood. We pick up day or night and get a crew out across the GTA.

Water damage restoration in Toronto and the GTA

Water damage gets worse the longer you wait. Wet drywall, subfloor, and insulation start growing mould inside 24 to 48 hours, and what looks like a small flood can turn into a much bigger remediation job if it sits.

Burst pipe, sewer backup, sump pump failure, storm flooding. Big or small, we show up, figure out where the water is and where it's gone, and get your property dried out properly.

Common causes we handle

  • Burst or leaking pipes
  • Sewer backup and drain overflow
  • Sump pump failure
  • Roof leaks and damaged eaves troughs
  • Clogged downspouts causing foundation flooding
  • Natural flooding and storm water intrusion
  • Appliance leaks (dishwasher, washing machine, hot water tank)

What to expect

What happens after you call

1

We answer

You reach a person, not a voicemail. They can get a crew out to you anywhere in the GTA.

2

Inspection

We find where the water travelled. Water damage isn't always visible without the proper tools. We use moisture meters and infrared cameras to track damage within the walls, under floors, and anywhere else it has travelled. What remains wet could become mould.

3

Scope of work

Determine what is needed to mitigate damages and safely restore the affected areas. Air movement and dehumidification are used to create the proper conditions for drying. Industrial air movers and dehumidifiers are added to accomplish this. Removal of selected wet material may be needed for proper air flow, to maximize the rate of evaporation. A quote will be provided for approval for non-insurance work.

4

Monitoring and Documentation

We will continue to monitor the drying process and document the readings. The equipment will be removed when the affected areas are dry, not just dry on the surface. All insurance claims will include a report of what was damaged and what mitigation was performed, with pictures. An estimate will be submitted to your insurance using their approved format for the mitigation work and repair scope.

Common questions about water damage restoration

How quickly can you respond to a flood in Toronto or the GTA?
We're available 24/7, 365 days a year. Response times vary by location and time of day, but we aim to have a crew on site within 1 to 2 hours of your call anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area.
Does insurance cover water damage and drain backup?
Most standard home insurance policies in Ontario cover sudden and accidental water damage from burst pipes. Sewer and drain backup is usually a separate endorsement — check your policy or call your broker. We bill your insurance company directly and help you navigate the claims process.
How long does water damage restoration take?
A typical basement flood takes 3 to 5 days of active drying. Larger jobs or those involving sewage, mould, or structural damage take longer. We monitor moisture levels daily and only remove equipment once readings confirm the structure is fully dry.
Can I dry out a flooded basement myself?
For a very small clean-water spill caught immediately, a wet-dry shop vac and fans may be enough. For anything larger — or any sewage backup — you need professional equipment. Residential fans and dehumidifiers cannot dry wall cavities or subfloor assemblies. Mould can start growing within 24 to 48 hours inside wet walls that look dry on the surface.
Do you handle both the water extraction and the mould prevention?
Yes. Our process includes water extraction, structural drying with industrial air movers and dehumidifiers, and antimicrobial treatment with eco-friendly plant-based products. If mould has already started, we can transition directly into mould remediation.
